As a parent of a fussy eating toddler, you know all too well the struggles that come with trying to get your little one to eat a nutritious and balanced diet. It can be incredibly frustrating to deal with a toddler who refuses to eat certain foods, and the constant battle over mealtimes can be exhausting. Luckily, there are lots of different strategies you can use to help your toddler become more open to trying new foods, and one of them is reading books about food to your child.

Reading books to your child can be a wonderful way to introduce them to a variety of foods and spark their interest in trying something new. Books that feature food as a key part of the story can help your toddler understand why it’s important to eat a variety of foods and give them the opportunity to explain the importance of food at level of their understanding. 

Here are some of our top picks for books to read to your fussy eating toddler that can help inspire healthy eating habits:

Children aged Baby - 4 years 

1. The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle: 1-3 years 

This classic children’s book features a hungry caterpillar that goes on a journey of discovery, exploring a variety of different foods along the way.
